Having previously worked in Christchurch in the the midst of the city’s extensive rebuild, I have significant experience working with people building new homes.

I remove the multitude of decisions out of the stressful process of building.  I also give you clarity and assurance that the end result will be one you love.

The  services you require will depend on your home build. This might include any or all of the following:

Design boards for each room –  which will include spatial layout, colours/materials, and furniture

Selected materials, colours, flooring, kitchen, door hardware, and other materials

Heidi’s Design Process

First contact and initial meeting

When you first contact me, we'll have a chat about your home over the phone - and you can ask me questions to check I'm the right designer for your project (and vice versa).  We can then schedule an in-home consultation.

This in-home consultation is currently $195 (plus gst) for up to 90 minutes. It is customised to your project. Usually, this consultation also allows me to understand the scope of the job so I can provide you with a proposal and fee for the interior design work required.

Heidi was an absolute pleasure to work with on our new build. We had a million ideas for things that we liked (colours, wallpaper, feature lighting, curtains) and Heidi gave us feedback on what worked as well as made some really great suggestions on ways we could improve on those ideas.

I was nervous using one colour on all four walls of what was to be my office. But since Heidi had already given us great suggestions I went with it for the entire room. I remember Heidi telling me I wouldn’t regret it. It turned out to be one of my favourite rooms to spend time in.

I’d never used an interior designer before but I knew I needed help to create a cohesive vision for our home. Heidi was the perfect choice. She took time to get to know us and how we live, then helped us find a common style. She challenged us to make smart design decisions that we would never have thought of ourselves and which have totally met our brief (and budget). She pulled together the whole picture and helped with small details that we just don’t have the time or skills to do. 

The house is looking elegant with its own sense of character. I feel more confident making decisions about the house now because I understand what I’m working towards. 

I highly recommend Heidi. Using her services was the best investment we made in our house – it’s a small cost for a huge return.
